The people of the world, but especially people in areas where there is or has been violence, can all benefit from a specific kind of healing. I will outline why it is necessary, what that is, and and how to do it. This is inspired by the people of New York City, but extends to all people who have been traumatized.
Why it is necessary:
When any life form is exposed to violence, the vibrational rate of their energy field is affected. If you hold a vibrating tuning fork next to another, they will begin to attune to each other. You can learn more about how this works by reading Chapter 3 (in the #2 file) in my book here.
The upshot is that when any life form is exposed to the disruptive vibrations of violence, it affects the energy field that is their being. The physical body may be damaged, or it may not. The more subtle energy bodies, the aura, are affected. Often people experience symptoms such as disruputed sleep, anxiety, heightening of any disorders already in process, and what they do not realize is that their energy bodies and chakras are out of whack.
What it is:
It is possible to intentionally realign one's chakras, and to work with one's energy field in order to heal it from the disruption; to assist one's vibrational rate in returning to one's natural healthier state. This is done through a process that involves meditation, or trance; intentionally going into an altered state that can be called a prayer state, or deep relaxation. There is a unique quality in this experience for each person, so it is not reasonable to try to quantify it with detailed description. However, it works.
How to do it:
Sit on the edge a firm pillow with your sacrum elevated above your knees so you can sit with your spine straight. If this is not workable, lying flat is good. Any position that allows your body to relax into an unencumbered position.
Breate slow full breaths. Fill your lungs to capacity slowly, and let it out slowly. Notice the sensations and movements of your breath. Allow your mind to relax as your breathing guides your body into letting go fo whatever tension you can let go of.
Visualize your chakras:

Breathe deeply and see the column of chakras, your spine, the core of your body. Notice the colors; are the clear or are they cloudy? With your intention, will the colors to become clear and vibrant. Allow your chakras to find their own balance, however. This is not an exercise of force, but of awareness, communion, and transformation. Breathe, be aware of your body, of the air, of the earth and your relationship with it whether you are in a building or outside.
Now breathe and visualize the energy field that surrounds your body, your aura which fits you like a cloak of energy, surrounding your body evenly. Notice that this energy field is shimmering, that it vibrates at a particular rate; different rates actually at different places in your body. Notice the colors and the clarity, and breathe. With your will, again, connect with your energy field. Breathe into your awareness the connection with the earth and the sky, for balancing. Allow your energy body to slough off anything it needs to. Breathe. Work with the images that come to you.
Include these practices in your day and you will notice benefits almost immediately. The more you do it the longer the affects last, as you establish a more balanced state. You will find that at least some of the symptoms you had been experiencing will diminish.
