What does it take for the people of the US to get it? The Bush administration and it’s cronies don’t care about people unless they are white and have money. Barbara Bush’s comment about “those people didn’t have much anyway” makes it clear. In Bushworld people are valued only for what they have, not for who or what they are. If, for instance, we value people for their compassion, Barbara Bush wouldn’t be worth rescuing from a mud puddle.
Honestly, I think the Bush’s should be isolated from the rest of the world and prevented from contributing further to the gene pool. It’s clear that these people are in the mold of the world’s most ruthless and evil. Allowing their dynasty to continue is bad for Earth and her many life forms including people.
The global chess game continues. Instead of Kaisers and Czars, Kings and Queens, now it’s Presidents and Generals, Prime Ministers and Premiers. Countries (corporations) with their leaders (despots, liars, thieves) are waging war all around the world. Most of those dying are people of color. When a city like New Orleans, a black city, is allowed to go down, and our country is busy killing brown and black people all over the world; when the corporate (white) world sits back and allows genocide of black and brown people in the Sudan; when we see time and time again that huge numbers are allowed to suffer and die, I can only conclude that this is intentional. I imagine that the small group of people, probably white men, who make such decisions, have an overarching plan to reduce the world’s population, but especially to reduce the population of people “of color.” If there were a devastating hurricane headed for Long Island you can bet that the feds would be all over that. If there were white people being slaughtered in the hundreds of thousands, the US would be all over it. Since the US was born of racism and genocide it is not at all surprising that these practices continue to be at the root of national policy. What’s happening in New Orleans simply highlights this. The blatancy with which Bush & Co. perpetrate their lies and horrific murderous deeds indicates how much they think they’re in control. If they thought they could still be stopped by “the people” they’d still be in stealth mode, but they are right out in the open with their fixed elections, controlled media, and other fascist policies. They don’t care that we see them for what they are because they figure they’ve won. Hubris, however, is always the mistake of the megalomaniacal. I have no doubt it will bring Bush & Co. down, but so many will have suffered and died before that happens.
It seems that only the least developed of our species aspire to “high” office, to hold power over the many. No one in their right mind actually wants a job like that, some people are committed enough to service that they would be willing to undertake it for a time, but those who crave power in this form, those who value money and material wealth and the ability to manipulate masses of people; these people are undeveloped psychologically. I’ve been a licensed psychotherapist for more than two decades. I know whereof I speak. It is during the first few years of life that most human beings behave like the spoiled imperious narcissistic creatures they are. By encountering limits and boundaries, by being encouraged to feel and express their feelings, and by much more, we grow into empathic caring creatures. The people running the US government, and most likely those running many other governments, are stuck in that narcissistic phase of development. George W. Bush certainly is, and his mother Barbara Bush certainly is. The ability to see other humans as not human, as lacking in intrinsic value, is the sign of a deeply wounded undeveloped psyche. It is the responsibility of any parent to set limits on their imperious child. It is our job as citizens to stop the Bush dynasty, to remove Bush from office and see that he is tried for his crimes, and to remove the rest of his administration and try them for their crimes as well. Clamor for it. Let Congress know you want it. Write letters to the newspaper about it. Protest in whatever ways you can. Don’t accept the lies which have become the status quo. Hold government accountable. We are the ones who can change this. We are the ones who must change this.
